Celebrating "I want You to be Happy Day"!

March 3rd is I Want You to be Happy Day!

In our homeschool, we will celebrate by making pancakes (since it makes the kids happy) and reading a few great books about kindness, followed by a craft that will hopefully bring a smile to someone's face.

“In How Full Is Your Bucket? For Kids, Felix begins to see how every interaction in a day either fills or empties his bucket. Felix then realizes that everything he says or does to other people fills or empties their buckets as well.

"This heartwarming book encourages positive behavior by using the concept of an invisible bucket to show children how easy and rewarding it is to express kindness, appreciation, and love by "filling buckets."

After that, we will make Compliment Cards. Head over to The Kids Activities Blog for the free printable, they are wonderful! If you don’t have a printer or want to make personalized cards, these would be just as nice handwritten on index cards or even construction paper. If everything goes right we will head down to the library, and possibly a couple of stores, and leave our Compliment Cards for others to find. I hope it brings a smile to their face!
